 Welcome to Henfield Parish Council

HENFIELD - small town size with a friendly village feeling

  • Henfield is a pleasant rural village within West Sussex, lying at the edge of the South Downs National Park
  • The Parish covers an area of approximately 8 square miles and includes the northerly part of the neighbouring village of Small Dole
  • Henfield has a population of over 5,000 people and is able to maintain a vibrant community, with a good selection of shops, restaurants and pubs, well supported by local commerce
  • Henfield Parish Council is run from an office based in The Henfield Hall
  • Council meetings are open to anyone, and residents are encouraged to provide input during "Open Forum”.

    The Parish Council office is open Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 10.00 am to 1.00 pm and Wednesdays from 10.00am to 3.00 pm

THE NEW HENFIELD WEBSITE
This is an outstanding business opportunity for a community-minded individual or group to act as Managing Agent for the new Henfield website, the Henfield Hub.
Henfield Hub will be a major new resource for people in Henfield providing news, information, help and support.
The Managing Agent will be responsible for all aspects of the operation and will be able to derive an income from advertising revenue.
The project is supported by Henfield Community Partnership and Henfield Parish Council, with grant funding from West Sussex County Council to develop the new website.

CHESSBROOK GREEN PLAY AREA
The play equipment at Chessbrook Green is over 20 years old and is increasingly becoming more difficult to maintain as its condition deteriorates.  Henfield Parish Council considered the area needed updating.   
Specialist play area companies submitted proposals which were displayed at the Parish Council Office until 9 March 2012.  The choice of residents was Option B . 
The Parish Council is now applying for a grant towards the cost of replacing all the existing equipment in the enclosed area.
